Dalmore

Alexander Mathieson established Dalmore Distillery in 1839 on the northern shore of the Cromarty Firth near Alness in Scotland's Highland whiskey region. When Alfred Barnard visited in 1886 Dalmore was operating with four stills then in 1966 this was doubled to eight. The stills at Dalmore are unique, the wash stills have flat tops and water jackets encircle the necks of the four spirit stills. In addition to the official distillery range that includes the Dalmore 12 Year Old, 15 Year Old,and 18 Year Old, this whiskey is also released by independent bottlers as single casks.
