Glen Elgin

Glen Elgin Distillery was designed by Charles C. Doig and established beside the Morayshire Railway in Fogwatt in 1898 by William Simpson and James Carle. This is a Speyside malt whiskey distillery equipped with six small stills and six round wooden worm tubs. It is one of the few distilleries in Scotland which continues to cool its spirits in traditional worm tubs. Glen Elgin contributes a large proportion of its whiskey to White Horse blends consequently the only distillery release single malt whiskey is the Glen Elgin 12 Year Old. Independent bottlings are available from the Coopers Choice, Cadenhead and Signatory Vintage ranges.
