Knockando
Knockando Distillery was designed by Charles C. Doig and established by John Thompson in 1898 and opened the following year close-by the River Spey in Speyside. This is a malt whiskey distillery equipped with four stills and has managed to retain its pagoda roof. Whilst a large percentage of Knockando whiskey is destined for blending some is matured at the distillery and released as single malt. A popular official bottling is the Knockando 12 Year Old.
